The Calming Collection - Fantasia at Noon

Photo taken from own personal collection, Tenerife 2026.

Midday heat hangs bright and unfiltered over the resort, a wide blue pool ringed by red umbrellas and loungers, with a fairy-tale castle of cream walls and blue turrets anchoring the far end against an endless, cloudless sky. A tall palm cuts straight through the foreground, its shadow dappling the pale tiles, where a lone yellow caution cone and a white balustrade ground the fantasy in everyday holiday reality.

It's the kind of scene that feels both staged and completely lived in — two swimmers perched on the pool's edge, sunbathers scattered under the umbrellas, palms and apartment blocks framing it all like a postcard you could step into. The light is harsh and joyful, turning the water to a flat, brilliant blue and making the castle look almost surreal, as if someone dropped a theme park dream into a perfectly ordinary, sun-drenched afternoon.
