RAPTURE brings a striking, rebellious energy to a 12-inch vinyl record sleeve. Built with a deep punk overlay using vintage music magazines from my mum’s personal collection, this piece makes a bold statement with vivid hits of yellow and red cutting through the layered surface.
As part of my collection exploring grief and healing through art, RAPTURE symbolizes the end of the beginning. It was created completely intuitively, building itself layer by layer without a set plan, yet carrying a profound emotional weight behind every decision. Fragmented pieces of my old original artwork are torn and buried beneath the vibrant punk imagery, creating a rich backdrop where memory and raw expression collide.
RAPTURE marks a powerful turning point in the series where chaotic emotion transforms into loud, undeniable strength. Every ripped edge and sharp contrast tells a story of survival and transition. I have now decided to give these deeply personal works a new home where their stories can live on.
