Culture/Color/Migration Inspiration

This series draws upon the experience of migration as a process of displacement, encounter, and cultural transformation. It emerges from the exploration of our own and other cultures, and from an observation of how colour is experienced, interpreted, and lived across different social and cultural contexts. Although our histories, identities, and experiences may appear profoundly different, we remain part of a shared global tapestry shaped by movement, exchange, and interconnectedness. What distinguishes us is not an inherent difference, but the particular histories that have shaped our journeys. Too often, however, these stories—and those of the people who came before us—have remained untold, overlooked, or absent from the narratives through which we understand ourselves. Colour becomes a means of approaching these histories: a universal visual language whose meanings are nevertheless shaped by culture, memory, place, and experience. Through this series, colour operates not merely as an aesthetic element, but as a space in which individual and collective identities can meet, overlap, and be reinterpreted. Each image will be produced as a strictly limited edition of five prints, regardless of format. Once the five editions have been produced, the original digital file will be permanently destroyed. The exhibition piece will constitute the sole remaining reference to the original work and will not be available for sale.
