Neil the glowing Hippopotamus
Neil is simply lovely. He has an exceedingly gentle demeanour. He is curious and alert, observing the observer, with a infectious smile.
It was a joy creating him. The original (acrylic on canvas, 120 x 120cm - currently available for viewing and purchase at Jatho here in Kassel - 3745 €), is a pride of place piece. Highly impactful with a glorious combination of colour and texture, and radiating an impassioned presence, Neil brings a joyful air to any space he inhabits.
This print:
- Acid- and lignin-free and made to last.
- The natural finish enhances vibrancy and depth.
- Textured matte surface that enhances depth without losing clarity.
- Handmade wooden frame from Italy.
Also available as a print on canvas here on Printumo and as a signed limited edition via art@alainvangils.com

About me
First, a heartfelt welcome to my Printumo site.
I have a deep passion for the Animal Kingdom, and want to share the possibility of hanging my bold, expressive and above all colourful, Animal Portraits on your walls.
I have had many requests from people who don't have the space (most of my paintings are very large) or the investment required for either an original painting or signed limited edition print for an alternative option.
In Printumo I have found that option and I'm very pleased to be able to share my passion with a wider audience.
These high quality canvas and paper prints will bring joy, a smile and colour to your personal space, and I thank you for your custom.
